The police detained the journalist when he was covering a protest action in the city (which continued in Belarus after the presidential election on August 9). He was taken to the police department and drawn up a report for violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The journalist was released four hours after the detention.
