Domozhirov was given a 30 000 RUB (407 USD) fine under article 5.22 of the Administrative Violations Code (illegal procurement of a ballot) because of a video clip about double voting during the Constitutional referendum. On 6 July, he was delivered to a police station for questioning. Domozhirov is also being investigated under the article 142 of the Criminal Code (falsification of all-Russian voting documents).
