The Leninsky District Court of Mogilev has recognised the content of the TikTok account “Euroradio.Lite” (identifier: https://www.tiktok.com/@euroradio.lite) as “extremist informational material”. On the basis of the court’s decision, the Ministry of Information of Belarus added the internet resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials recognised as extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users. “Euroradio” is an independent media outlet that has been operating since 2005 and provides its audience with information about events in Belarus and around the world. Since October 2021, Euroradio’s pages on social networks and messaging platforms have periodically been added to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. In July 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus designated the outlet as an “extremist formation”.
