On 8 August, judicial assistant Shoghik Duryan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the news agency Sputnik Armenia; Social Media LLC (founder of Mamul.am); International Media Holding LLC (founder of Euromedia 24); Zhoghovurd Newspaper Editorial Office LLC (founder of Armlur.am); Azatutyun TV LLC (founder of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and Azatutyun.am); and Pastinfo LLC (founder of Pastinfo.am). She is seeking a retraction of information she considers defamatory, as well as monetary compensation for damage to her honour and dignity. The grounds for the claim were a report published on 30 April on Pastinfo.am and subsequently reposted on the other aforementioned platforms, which stated that there were detainees in the criminal case against Judge Artush Gabrielyan, including his assistant, who was alleged to be complicit in the giving of a bribe. The case is currently under consideration.
