On September 15, in the National Assembly of Armenia, a verbal altercation arose between the correspondent of the news website MediaHub.am Ani Gevorgyan and a deputy of the ruling parliamentary faction Civil Contract Kristine Poghosyan, during which the deputy threatened to throw her phone at the journalist. There was also tension between Suzie Badoyan, the correspondent of the news website Yerevan.Today, and other representatives of the same faction. As a result, the Chairman of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, ordered the security officers to expel both journalists from the parliament building. Force was used against Ani Gevorgyan. The operators of MediaHud.am and Yerevan.Today news websites, Eric Tovmasyan and Geghaznik Hovakimyan, were also escorted out of the parliament building. Force was also used against the latter.
