Investigators from the prosecutor's office in the capital's Shohmansur district interrogated Emomali Saidzoda, an employee of the news agency Asia Plus and a close friend of the arrested blogger Abdullo Gurbati, for several hours. Saidzoda's colleagues reported that the journalist was interrogated on the evening of June 24. The interrogation at the prosecutor's office lasted for three hours. The journalist was released home only at 11 PM. Saidzoda himself refrained from talking to his colleagues after he left the prosecutor's office. His colleagues said that the officers took an undertaking from him saying he would not disclose any details of the interrogation. The journalist's phone was also confiscated, but he was promised it would be returned.
