Mtavari Arkhi TV channel correspondent Ema Gogokhia was attacked by priests and threatened by Metropolitan Archbishop Nikoloz Pachuashvili during the Chkondidoba church holiday, who promised to smash the journalist's camera. They tried to push Ema Gogokhia out of the church premises. As it turned out, the reason for such behaviour was the presence at the celebratory liturgy of the coordinators of the Georgian Dream ruling party and their associates from the Alliance of Patriots. The priests were irritated by the journalist's question about why the politicians were using the church holiday in their election campaign.
