In connection with the criminal case against the journalists of Abzas Media, a number of journalists who had cooperated with the media outlet were summoned for the investigation and interrogated. On December 5, the journalist Shamistan Haziyev was interrogated, and on December 6, Leyla Agayeva was summoned for the investigation. According to investigative journalist Hafiz Babaly, the investigation has arrested bank accounts of a number of persons involved in the investigation and their family members. On November 29, the Khatai Ditrict Court of Baku, in the criminal case against Abzas Media, decided to arrest bank accounts and provide the Baku Chief Police Department with information on tax payments and shares of legal entities involved in the investigation and their family members, Babaly said. The decision listed him as an «accused person», although he was interrogated as a witness at the city police department the next day.
