On January 31, Elmurad Odil (Elmurod Odilov), a blogger from the Yakkabog District of the Qashqadaryo Region, was found guilty of libel and insult and arrested for 15 days. On January 30, the blogger was covering problems with electricity in the family polyclinic № 71. A few days earlier, Elmurad Odil had accused the chairman of the Oliy Majlis Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, of an energy crisis in the country and held a picket demanding her resignation.
