A criminal case was brought against Elena Yanushkovskaya under Article 368 of the Criminal Code (“insulting the President”) as a result of which, she was put on a wanted list. Prior to this, on 14 November, police conducted a search of Yanushkovskaya’s house in the Vitebsk region, where her adopted daughter and grandchildren live. Elena travelled to Poland back in February, where she claimed asylum.
