Deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper Zhukovskiye Vesti Ela Znamenskaya was charged under Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (discrediting the army) for an April stream in which the war in Ukraine was discussed. This was preceded by Znamenskaya’s conflict with Sergey Zhuravlyov, a deputy of the Zhukovsky City Council from A Just Russia, about whom Znamenskaya had written a note about how he did not pay back the money for a Volkswagen Polo car he had bought.
