Medvedeva was detained by the security officials when she was working at a protest rally of people with (dis)abilities. She was taken to the police department, charged with participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences), and held in the detention centre until trial. On November 13, the court found the journalist guilty based on the police report and arrested her for 15 days.
