On October 15, acting rector of Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport Tigran Simonyan filed a lawsuit against Editorial Office of Newspaper Zhoghovurd LLC with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, demanding to publicly refute the information considered as libel and to pay monetary compensation for infringement of honour and dignity. The reason for the suit was an article published on September 7 in the newspaper, in which the official, the plaintiff, was accused of abuse of office, which resulted in tangible damage to the state. The lawsuit is in the process of consideration.
