The officers of the Babruisk police department came to the editorial office of the local media Kommerchesky Kuryer and took journalist Dzmitry Suslau from his workplace without any explanation. They kept Dzmitry in the police department until late evening and then kept him in the temporary detention center for three days until the trial. On June 6, the court of the Babruisk district and Babruisk found Suslau guilty of the «distribution of extremist materials» (Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and arrested him for 15 days. The trial took place in the temporary detention center. After the journalist was released, it turned out that he had been jailed for reposting a media link that was declared extremist by the authorities. According to Dzmitry, he was kept in a punishment cell for his entire arrest period.
