Security forces detained and beaten Dzmitry Buyanau while he was covering the protest. He was taken to the District Department of Internal Affairs, accused of participating in an unauthorized event (Art. 23.34 of the Administrative Code) and disobeying police demands (Art. 23.4 of the Administrative Code). He was arrested awaiting the trial. On 2 November, the court, based on the police report, found the journalist guilty and arrested him for ten days. He is also suspected of violating the Article 342 of the Criminal Code - "Organizing and preparing activities that grossly breach public order".
