Investigative journalist Dzianis Ivashin was charged under Article 365 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (interference in the activity of a police officer). Ivashin was detained in the evening of March 12 at his home in Hrodna. Dzianis’ flat and the flat of his relatives were searched. The journalist was put in the KGB temporary detention centre. Before that, he had published his investigation about the service of the former Ukrainian Berkut officers in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Dzianis Ivashin was taken into custody for two months.
