Head of the Executive Power of the Dashkesan District Ahad Abiyev filed a lawsuit against the journalist Dzhavid Shiraliyev. The journalist is charged under Articles 147 (insult) and 148 (libel) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan for an article published on the website 7gun.org about Ahad Abiyev’s relationship with an actress. On April 18, 2022, the hearing of the case began in the Masalli District Court. «I don’t know why a complaint was filed against me. I am not the author of the article, but an employee of the website. I have nothing to do with the article. I created the website 7Gun.az, which ceased to exist eight months ago», — Shiraliyev said.
