The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has arrested Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Hordon in absentia. The Russian Investigative Committee accused him of spreading «fakes» about the Russian army (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), incitement of hatred (Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and calling for unleashing a war of aggression (Part 2 of Article 354 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court granted the investigator’s motion, remanding Hordon in absentia for two months. The press service said that the arrest will be calculated from the moment of his detention or extradition to Russia.
