Belsat TV freelance journalist Dmitry [Zmitser] Lupach was detained on May 8. Until his trial, which took place on May 11, the journalist was kept in a pre-trial detention center. Lupach was judged on two articles: «violation of media legislation», for which he was fined 45 basic amounts (BYN 1,215), and «participation in a mass action», for which Lupach received 10 days of administrative arrest. After the trial, Dmitry Lupach felt bad. An ambulance took him to the hospital.
