The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has sentenced Pussy Riot member Alexander Sofeyev and photographer Dmitry Vorontsov to 15 days of arrest each. They were detained on June 22 near Sofeyev’s flat. According to the lawyer, a bottle of wine was found in the activist’s backpack, and the detainees were charged with drinking alcohol in prohibited places (Article 20.20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation) and appearing in public places in a state of intoxication (Article 20.21 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). Under the first report, they were fined RUB 500 each. Under the second report, they were arrested for 15 days.
