Dmitry Sviridov, the author of the Telegram channel «Demon Channel», was detained and placed under house arrest in Korolev (Moscow region) for allegedly extorting RUB 800,000 from the head of the city district. The case under Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion) was opened against the blogger, and the detainee was placed under house arrest.
