Lebedev was detained at Pushkinskaya Square in Moscow, where he was covering the "NO" movement rally against amendments to the Constitution. The police actively obstructed the work of journalists. Lebedev was brought to the police station where his phone was confiscated. He was later charges with participation in an uncoordinated action that caused interference with transport and pedestrians (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Administrative Code).
