Rosfinmonitoring has added journalist Dmitry Kolezev to its list of “terrorists and extremists.” Kolezev, former editor-in-chief of Republic and publisher of the independent media project It’s My City, left Russia in 2022. That same year, in August 2022, he was sentenced in absentia to 7.5 years in prison on charges of spreading “fake news” about the Russian army.
