Kochanov was detained in the Khimki City Court at the trial of eco-activist Alexey Dmitriyev, who was arrested for 8 days under the article on organising an unauthorised action. Kochanov filed a complaint against the judge for restricting the admission of listeners to the trial. During a break, Kochanov left the court, and when he returned, he was detained by the police under the pretext that he had allegedly threatened someone. He was released from the police after giving an explanatory note about the fact that he had addressed the judge loudly.
