The Krasnogvardeysky District Court of St. Petersburg has banned the distribution of a Deutsche Welle video clip about an action in defence of LGBT rights — a queer ballet in front of the Russian Embassy in Berlin. According to the prosecutor’s office, the content of the video «arouses interest in non-traditional sexual relations». The material was published on January 11, after the decision to ban the «international LGBT movement» in Russia as an extremist organisation came into force.
