Additional information:

The Moscow Arbitration Court upheld Rosneft’s claim against the German media outlet Der Spiegel. The court refused to conduct a linguistic examination, although the case file contained two different translations of the disputed information. The reason for filing the lawsuit was an interview with politician Gesine Schwan and historian Jan Klaas Behrends: in one of the answers, Schwan, assessing the management of former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, said that she did not approve of his connection with Rosneft. According to Rosneft, these words are inaccurate and defame the company’s business reputation. Rosneft demanded to remove one phrase from the text and publish a refutation.
