A criminal case on «discrediting» the army (Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was initiated against Denis Kamalyagin, the editor-in-chief of Pskovskaya Gubernia. The reason for the prosecution is unknown. The journalist was summoned for questioning by the investigator, scheduled for November 28. In October 2022, Kamalyagin was fined RUB 35,000 under an administrative report on «discrediting» the army. He left Russia in March 2022 after searches on the case of defamation of the Pskov governor. Since 2020, Kamalyagin is listed in the register of «foreign agents» and was fined three times for the absence of the label on social networks.
