The Yakutsk City Court fined Denis Adamov, editor-in-chief of Yakutia.Info, 5,000 rubles (€50) for allegedly participating in the activities of an “undesirable” organisation (Article 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The case was reconsidered after the prosecutor’s office secured a review—in April, a different judge had refused to impose the fine. The charges relate to a 2014 Yakutia.Info article that included a link to the TV channel Dozhd (TV Rain). This marks Adamov’s fifth fine, bringing his total penalties to 22,500 rubles (€225) for old links to TV Rain.
