On September 17, unknown assailants beat Davron Nasibkhonov, the correspondent of the Voice of America's Uzbek editorial office in Kyrgyzstan. At 5 PM, the journalist had come to the central square near the Osh City Hall to prepare a report on the humanitarian aid organized for the residents of the Batken region who had suffered as a result of the fighting on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. After the journalist moved 30-40 meters away from the square, two unknown men in civilian clothes ran up to him. One of them was holding a knife.
