On March 31, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against 168 Zham LLC (the founder of the 168.am news website) and the journalist David Sargsyan, demanding to refute the information that discredits honor, dignity and business reputation, to apologize, and to pay compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the video material «Tigran Avinyan: the Nouveau Riche», published on the YouTube channel of the mentioned website, in which the author accuses the Deputy Mayor of economic and political corruption. The lawsuit is being considered.
