The journalists of the Mtavari Arkhi TV channel Tamar Chakvetadze and Nita Ardishvili, as well as cameraman David Gvalia, were attacked by the guards of the villa of the deputy of parliament and the owner of the Global Pharm company Anton Obolashvili while filming a report in the suburb of Tbilisi, the village of Tskneti. In the evening, after the seizure of the office of the leading opposition party United National Movement and the arrest of its chairman Nikanor Melia, the leaders of the Georgian Dream ruling party gathered to celebrate this event: among the guests were deputies of the parliament, Chairman of the Georgian Dream party Irakli Kobakhidze and Tbilisi mayor Kakhaber Kaladze. Security pounced on the film crew, trying to obstruct the filming.
