On July 4, 2022, former editor-in-chief of the newspaper El Khyzmetinde (In the Service of the People) Dauletmurat Tazhimuratov was again detained and beaten. While being transported to the neighboring Khorezm Region by helicopter, he was beaten with gun butts. «They stuck my palm in a big wrench, squeezed two fingers, and twisted it like a meat grinder», — he said.
