The journalist was detained by the security officials when she was covering a protest action in the centre of the city. She was taken to the police department, where two administrative reports were drawn up on her: for alleged disobedience to the police (Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The journalist was held in the detention centre for two days until the trial. On October 19, the court found Daria guilty and arrested her for 13 days.
