A military court in Moscow sentenced Polyudova to six years of jail for two episodes of «justification of terrorism». The activist was found guilty of justifying terrorism using the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and public calls for extremist activity (Part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court reclassified Polyudova’s actions under one of the episodes from Part 1 of Article 205.2 to Part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In addition, the court banned the activist from working in mass media and organizing mass events for four years. The court also banned her from posting information on the Internet for four years.
