On May 27, while returning home from the gardening society Michurinets in the centre of Kostanay, the freelance correspondent of Nasha Gazeta Darya Chuzhaya decided to take photos and video for a future article. During the filming of the irrigation system, Darya was rudely stopped by two guys. They accused her of stashing drugs. Darya said that she was a journalist and tried to show her editorial ID in her phone, but the guys continued to insult her, saying that they had been following her for a long time. At the same time, they did not introduce themselves and did not show their documents. The journalist assumes that they were drug addicts who were looking for a stash of drugs or were waiting for someone to rob them. Darya called the police and reported what had happened.
