Police detained him during the streaming of a live broadcast from a street protest in connection with the refusal of the Central Elections Commission to register presidential candidates Babarika and Tsepkalo. He was taken to the police precinct and a warrant was issued on violation of the law on mass events (Art. 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Law). He was held in a temporarily holding facility almost two days before trial. From the time of his arrest, no exact information was available about where he was located. The court pronounced him guilty and fined him for a large sum.
