Alexey Solovyov and his Rosderzhava colleague Damir Manzhukov were detained in the Vysokogorsky District of Tatarstan, accused of disobeying the police and walking on the roadway. The journalists were beaten, their equipment was taken away, and they were held for a night in police custody. Solovyov was arrested for 5 days and Manzhukov was fined RUB 2,000. Both journalists were found guilty under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation for disobedience to police demands.
