Daler Emomali, the Tajik journalist and blogger, said he was detained and interrogated for five hours. In a video posted on his YouTube channel on June 4, the blogger said that several law enforcement officials were involved in the interrogation. He also reported that he was punched several times, but added that he would not be able to prove the beating. Daler was detained after he started preparing material about the demolition of houses in Dushanbe, which authorities say were built illegally. He also reported that all video material he had filmed on the subject had been deleted from his phone by people he had spoken to.
