Catherine Norris Trent, a journalist of the French TV channel France 24, has been criminally prosecuted by the Federal Security Service for reporting from the Sudzha District of the Kursk Region, occupied by Ukrainian troops. The journalist is accused of illegal border crossing by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (Part 3 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Since August 17, 2024, cases against 14 foreign journalists have been opened under this article.
