A district court in Kursk has sanctioned the arrest in absentia of British national Caolan Robertson in the case of the illegal crossing of the Russian border, the joint press service for the courts of the Kursk region said. "On February 12, 2025, the court chose the restrictive measure in the form of arrest for Caolan Robertson from the moment of his detention in the territory of the Russian Federation or extradition," the press service said. According to investigators, Robertson entered Russia in the Sudzha district bordering on Ukraine alongside other unidentified persons no later than November 11, 2024, to record a news story about the Ukrainian Armed Forces' invasion of the Kursk region. Robertson was placed on the federal, interstate and international wanted lists. He was charged in absentia with the illegal crossing of the Russian state border.
