In the course of the political conflict, the city administration appointed a new editor of the newspaper and carried out a forceful seizure of the editorial office. "On February 11, before the layout of the newspaper Boyevoy put' was sent to the printing house, the editorial office of the district newspaper was violently seized. The editor Irina Atepaeva was kicked out of the office and the layout designer was forced to remove some of the official texts from the newspaper pages." The head of the department of economic development of the mayor's office Tatyana Filinkova and Vladimir Petrov were involved into the forceful seizure of the newspaper.
