The press service of the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs reported that criminal cases were opened against the journalist Bolot Temirov under Part 1, 2, and 3 of Article 379 (document forgery) and under Part 1 of Article 378 (Illegal crossing of the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. These charges came one day after the Temirov Live team published an investigation that the company of Kamchybek Tashiyev, the son of the head of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, had won several tenders in Jalal-Abad. The journalist called it «persecution» of him and the Temirov live team for investigating the fuel business of the head of the secret service.
