The editor-in-chief of Temirov Live was charged under Article 283 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (illegal production of drugs without the intent to sell). A preventive measure was chosen for him in the form of an undertaking not to leave the city. On January 22, police officers accompanied by special forces came to Temirov Live's office in Bishkek. Bolot Temirov was detained and taken to the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek. On the same day, his colleague Bolot Nazarov was detained along with Bolot Temirov. After the questioning, the journalists spent the night in a temporary detention center, after which they were taken to courts for the choice of preventive measures. Journalists link the arrests, questionings, and searches of police officers to the professional activities of Temirov Live and the latest investigation into the fuel business of the family of Kamchybek Tashiev, head of the State Committee of National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
