Sverdlovsky District Court of Bishkek, after reviewing the legal status of the detention, released the journalist under house arrest. Nazarov was detained on Saturday evening by law enforcement officers who allegedly found a bag of hashish in his possession. According to the media, the journalist was suspected of illegal production of drugs without the intent to sell. Bolot Temirov, detained on the same day, said that Nazarov had also been planted with drugs. Nazarov himself told a member of the ombudsman institution, who visited him in the detention centre where he had been placed after his detention that his detention was illegal – «he had no money for bread, let alone drugs». Journalists link the police visit to Temirov Live's professional activities and the latest investigation into the fuel business of the family of Kamchybek Tashiev, head of the State Committee of National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
