On November 17, an administrative case was initiated against the administrator of Orginfo.uz website Boburmirzo Khamrokulov, following a statement by the State Statistics Committee. He is accused of not having any contracts or agreements on posting the agency's statistical data in the public domain. The possible reason for the case is the publications about officials and their relatives who allow conflicts of interest in the government. The police department of the Asaka district of the Andijan region informed Khamrokulov of the opening of a case under Article 202-2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (dissemination of false information), which introduces fines of USD 1250.
