On June 2, the acting director of the Gyumri branch of the Armenian State University of Economics, Karen Petrosyan, filed a lawsuit against the Blognews.am news website, demanding the refutation of the factual data considered to be libel and compensation for moral damage. The reason for the lawsuit was the Facebook posts of the user Abgar Gevorgyan about Karen Petrosyan published on April 7-20 on the Blognews.am website, in which, in particular, it is said that Petrosyan received the position thanks to the use of obscene language against the church. In addition, he called Karen Petrosyan mentally ill. The case proceedings were initiated and the trial started.
