On February 8, Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine CJSC filed a lawsuit against Datablog LLC with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, demanding refutation of the information considered libel and payment of AMD 6 million (about USD 15,000) as monetary compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the information published on January 11 on the website Blognews.am, owned by the LLC, in which the Deputy Director of the mill Vardan Dzhanyan and other officials are accused of non-transparent activities, as well as of creating an ecological disaster that harms people’s health. The lawsuit is in the process of consideration.
