On February 29, Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine CJSC filed a lawsuit against Datablog LLC with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, demanding refutation of the information considered libel and payment of AMD 3 million (about USD 7,500) as monetary compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the material published on January 31 on the website Blognews.am, owned by the mentioned LLC — «Instead of taking into account the alarming media signals about the ecological disaster caused by Artsvanik tailing dam, ZCMC management spreads insolent statements». The court case is in the process of consideration.
