People's deputy and former president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko filed a lawsuit against the public organization Tom 14 (Bihus.Info) because of the «Medvedchuk tapes». Earlier, journalists of Bihus.Info released four stories based on the «Medvedchuk tapes» – recordings which, according to the journalists, show links between the chairman of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life Viktor Medvedchuk and Petro Poroshenko, Medvedchuk's involvement in the Ukrainian part of the Samara-Western direction oil pipeline, and his participation in the negotiations on the exchange of people from the occupied territories.
