The Central District Court of Minsk has designated the social media account on Threads titled “BGmedia|Brest|News” (threads.net/@bgmedia_365) as extremist informational material. This page is affiliated with the independent media outlet BGmedia from Brest. Following the court’s decision, the Ministry of Information of Belarus has added the online resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials deemed extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
